The gaping maw of the elevator shaft during construction.
Floor painting is done, elevator door frame frieze is in progress.
A dream commission: When new elevators were installed at this estate, I was tasked to match the new construction with the existing murals and painted floor. The original artwork was completed by Frederic Clay Bartlett, in 1905. Colfax and Fowler added the painted floor and border in the 1980s.
